Smile JowGaFist's Half Circle Adventures!

Just posted some pics. I will post more as I go.

http://www.reefsanctuary.com/photopo...00/ppuser/3286

So far so good, my nitrates down to 30.

I fixed my skimmer issue, the reason why it overflowed so fast was of the dechlor. i put in. Fixed by just adding more RO water.

I decided after the fact to switch the sump to my old 37gl tank, it fit perfect.
Well almost, had to remove one of the glass doors to get it in there. Still enough room on top to remove skimmer and pumps if i need to.

I'm upto 50lbs of rock I plan on getting atleast 30 more.

Any comments or suggestions on this would be appreciated. Is there anything else I should be doing right now?

Looks good!
How is it viewing wise? Is there any distortion when you walk around it?
We had a bowed tank once and it was odd viewing from certain areas.

Re: JowGaFist's Half Circle Adventures!

If you take a step back and look at it straight, its an awesome view. No corners. Now at certain angles, yes there are some distortion, but it doesn't really affect viewing atleast IMO. If you put your face upto the glass everything seems to be a little magnified, not sure if that makes sense..It kinda gave me a headache the first time but now that's all I do. Checking out my pretty little rocks.

Re: JowGaFist's Half Circle Adventures!

Cool idea Billy. That would look neat placed properly in a big room with 360degree viewing.

Re: JowGaFist's Half Circle Adventures!

Ok...sorry I haven't updated late jus been busy. Anyways none of my fishies has gone to heaven. All parameters look good, but Nitrate is reading 10ppm. I'm gonna try the mangrove route. Since my last post I have added a yellow tang, 2 clowns, 6 line, anemonie, and a mushroom. The mushroom was attached to a piece of LR and a snail shell. So I decided to frag right in the middle, hopefully it survives. I posted some pics, the pics were jus taken like 10 minutes or so after fraggin.

Can anybody tell me what anemonie that is? I think its a BTA but no bulbs.

How often do you guys feed you filter feeders?
