There is a new addition to the tank! An Electric blue hermit crab. When I bought live sand from the LFS there were a few shells in it. I guess the one wasn`t empty. It just sat there for the past four days but this morning I saw him crusin around on my new LR. He seems to be doing fine considering my tank is cycling. Hope for the best.

Hopefully he makes it through the cycle, i think inverts can die with a changes in nit/nitrates...

Well the new water pump and float switch are on their way so hopefull I will get this refugium all hooked up. I ll post pics when I get something going.

I had a major crash in February and the ONLY inverts to survive were the Hermits! Blue Legs can be VERY hardy!

^ i agree. i have recenty lost all my inverts - only thing to make it through was 2 blue leg hermits.

Sump is in action! 10 gal tank turned into 22 gal rubbermaid. I keep hearing more water is the key.

3/4 inch intake to the sump. 1/2 return powered by a quiet one 1200 pump.
