Re: Woody's Corral

Thanks Joe. It is. I don't like to use the feeding station because they all huddle around it like pigs at a trough I prefer to let them chase down the food and hunt... THAT is fun to watch The way I have the flow and rock set up, no mysis get wasted However, If they were in a larger tank, I would continue to use the trough.

Re: Woody's Corral

Saw some really cool looking orange ponies yesterday at the lfs. Kinda made me wish my corral wasn't full. They would have looked way cool. Eating frozen mysis and everything.
Oh well, guess I just need another tank. LOL
Peace

Re: Woody's Corral

Woody is out fishing so I'll throw in my 2 cents.
They are know to be hard to keep, but the biggest thing seems to be to have them in their own tank and be sure they are eating frozen food unless you are prepared to keep them in live food. They are also pretty particular about their water quality.
I've had kudas for about 4 months now and Doni just saw them and said they looked great. Hopefully they will continue to thrive like hers have.
Peace
Lynn

If you are considering it, I would also try and make sure you purchase Captive Bred Seahorses. They are already used to eating frozen mysis.

they are also a lot less prone to illness when captive bred. they have a MUCH higher survival rate.
