Re: cioutlaws 120gal.

how are the wavy seas doing? I am going to pick one up next week and wanted to have some feed back from wavysea owners. I am thinking about hooking it to a mag 9 and have the mag 9 inside my weir. Just a thought

Beautiful tank by the way

I love them, I ran a Mag9 with 1 & now have a 1200gph pump going through 2 & its worked great both ways..about the only complaint I have is when there is a power outage they stay stationary when the power comes back on till you reset the setpoints. So far it hasnt caused a problem but if you have a sensitive coral & it gets aimed at when the power goes off it gets blasted when power comes back on till you reset. Another thing to keep in mind if you have a large glass tank they wont be able to clamp on without an optional bracket bought direct from Wavysea. I had to purchase this cause my trim on my AGA 120 was too thick.

How is that circulation loop doing that you installed around the top of the aquarium?

An update is needed lol. I bought the material to build a canopy along with a couple 250w DE Halides & VHO actinics. Also am planning on adding a fuge to my sump.

I am running the 2 Wavysea's & they have worked great, good alternating flow everywhere in the tank. The loop worked ok but didnt like the look of it.

Re: cioutlaws 120gal.

Those wavyseas are nice. I have a SeaSwirl but have never hooked it up and now I suppose I would need another one too for my dual overflows... Please post pics of your Halide/vho progress. I too want to retro a dual 250 SE MH and a few VHO actinics. I would be very interested in watching you build yours.

Re: cioutlaws 120gal.

I have the sea swirl in my 110 reef ready between the two overflows and i think it works great ossilating the water in 180 degrees. But i also have the sqwd on my dual over flows and a vortech pump on the side glass so i think the combination gives me a good flow that makes the sps grow in cool shapes
that is my ramboling on 2 cents have a great reefing i love the 120 it is aquascaped perfectly
