Baked baking soda, but will raise Alk also, or air stone with ouside air, if windows are not open.

Re: to raise ph

Get some air in there. The low PH is most likely from CO2 in the house. Also get your Mag up to 1300. Or it is test error if it dropped that quick.

Re: to raise ph

if your alkalinkty is stable you dont have to worry about ph unless you are running a calcium reactor. Your reading can also be off if you are testing at different parts of the day. If you feel you really need to improve your ph that much replace all evaporated water with kalkwasser/ lime as itll raise ph.

Re: to raise ph

ok i hooked up a air pump this morning, and now it is almost 7.9-8.0

i added magnesium last night now it is at 860. What is the max you can raise magneisum a day 25mg.

Tank is 45 gallons, seachem magnesium says no more the 25g per 80 liters so, i could safely add 40 grams because of tank volume?

Re: to raise ph

I think 40g would be OK. I add 3 tbls per week to my 55 of epsom salts without any problems and maintain about 1300.
