Re: to raise ph

OK now it is seeming to be stable at 8.2.3 during day and 8.1 at night. Do you think i should take the air stone out tonight and see if their is a major difference in the morning?

Re: to raise ph

If the airstone increased the PH of the tank, you need more waterflow/surface aggitation.
Gas exchange (o2 absorbtion and co2 exhaust) happens at the water's surface. A powerhead (or two) pointed towards the water's surface will help a lot.
How much flow do you have? List all pumps/powerheads/skimmers etc that are in use during the 'low PH'.
The goal is 10-20x tank turnover per hour. Some folks even have much more flow than that.

Re: to raise ph

rio 600 with venturi on skimmer 200 gph
korilia nano 240 gph
korilia 1 400 gph
rio +1000 271 GPH
rio 400 on refuge 144 gph
aquaclear 110 power filter 500gph

maxi jet 400 106 gph

the skimmer, refuge and aquaclear all return by moving the surface water.

Total of 1861 gph give or take a few for the varying depth in the tank for the pumps.
