Low alk and PH input needed - Page 2

oohhhh duh i get it whew I was really worried
her dkh and im figuring meq/l

I thought I really messed the tank up... I added about 2-3 cups (diluted in 1 gallon of RO) over a 3 hour span, I will hold off and monitor the Alk and PH..

what a sec. are dosing baking soda? that will raise your Alk but because of the CO2 will depress your ph more, unless you bake the baking soda first.

I love baked soda! Yum!

My tank did the same thing when I started the ozone (mine went from 7.8 to 7.6 so I couldn't afford the drop). I'd test your alk again about half way through before you add the rest of it. Make sure you keep an eye on your calc and mag after you add that much alk 'cause you may get a sudden swing in them as well.

Im not sure when the best time to test. Ive been testing about every hour since the addition of the baked soda solution.

Lighting = 6x250 watts MH, 2x96 watt PC ,and 2x140 watt VHO for a total watt of 1,972 watts . New addition on 4-14-07 of 100 gallon sump and 100 gallon refugium. I think I have lost my mind.
