| Reef Nerd :) ![]() | Re: different alge It's just your normal "film" algae. It grows on all of our glass and you scrape/wipe it off every other day or so. The higher your nutrients in the water the faster it grows. I've noticed Natural Sunlight in a room (not even directly striking the tank) will greatly increase this algae. It's powdery when you wipe it from the glass.

| Reef Nerd :) ![]() | Re: different alge Reducing nutrients will help but as long as the tank has water in it you'll have that algae on the glass.

| Bryozoan | Re: different alge I think BigAl was just trying to say that film algae isn't something that you'll ever get rid of completely.

| NaClH2O Addicted ![]() | Re: different alge I agree - it's unavoidable. Just one of those things that happens & scraping is the only way to keep the glass clear of it.
