gianluca - Thanks for the post & pics & report !!!

Did you have to remove the glass shims? If so, was it any problem?

Warranty? Do You think that I have some assistance in Italy?....

The problem isn't the air tube but the skimmer cup height. It's necessary to adjuste the height to obtain a good skimm.

After it breaks in, let us know how it's doing ! If it solves the heat issues, what would be a monster plus !!!

After one days I have 2 °C lower and now I can close the cover.
The pump is an acquabee 2000, whit this inlet I think that the power consumption is about only 10 W... the standard one is about 40/50 W

Good news gianluca! RSM skimmer pumps for both the 130 and 250 models are energy hogs! I saw a drop in tank temps. when I replaced my 130 skimmer.

I have to try to take off the big sponge in the exit camera.
With the sponge now I haven't micro bubbles, some in the first days but it's normal with a new skimmer.

Re: Deltec mc500 and Red Sea 250... here we go!

Hi, I've some good news.
With the Deltec mc500 after a week I can say that I have:
1) lower noise
2) no microbubles problem
3) finally a skimmer that works very well (with ho hole in the cover)
4) dramatically less power consumption
5) no heat issue

I'm very satisfied!
I'm waiting to do some test, I want to give some times at the Deltec and at least a water change to test the NO3-.

Bye

Sounds too good gianluca, let us know the negative aspects as well.

Some pics of the definitive installation and skimmate or even better a video to make our day please.
