Re: How did you clean the corraline off the rounded corners on the rsm?

I'be been using a Magic Eraser for WELL over a year now *maybe more* and no ill effects at all. The ONLY healthy hazard on this product is: Abrasions (it removes flesh VERY well) and internal issues associated with abrasions from eating one (go figure). This cleaner works by it's mysterious texture which is soft but abrasive. It's like MAGIC! Go figure.

I've got one next to every tank I own.

Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change.
Allen's home-made formula...currentNO3-((%WC*.01)currentNO3)=finalNO3 (thanks Luukosian)
This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.

Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!!

Re: How did you clean the corraline off the rounded corners on the rsm?

Al,

I am interested in trying this... but when I read up on it... why do you think on this page it says... "See package for full usage instructions. * Rinse food contact surfaces with clean, potable water after cleaning."

What would I be rinsing away & why? any ideas? I guess if you have used it with no ill effects, it must be fine... but this statement from their website worried me a bit...

I use something safer than a blade. I use a Blue/Green 3M Sponge pad that is non scuffing. You can find these at Target or any small store. Works great and I don't have to worry about scratching anything!

Use the dark green side for the glass.

Re: How did you clean the corraline off the rounded corners on the rsm?

Does the Magic Eraser wear down with use? Does it release any abrasive "powder" into the water during use? Based on Glenn's reply I'm wondering if the recommended rinshing of food contact surfaces means that it might be leaving behind an abrasive residue that rubs off the Eraser.
