Not sure on mesh-maintenance! Good question though. I pulled my skimmer out after like 3 weeks just to check on the mesh wheels. Everything looked good and they where still clean looking to me.
Seems they are no more maintenance then the needle wheels. Even if they are, i'll take it for the performance gains over the needle wheels.
The comparison is not even close! My skimmer blows away that Deltec I paid over 500.00 for!
The Euroreef is a quality product. Do you think Terry got his in yet?

I hope he got it in, but then again he said he would try this weekend but my skimmer is doing very well and I just about have to clean the collection cup every night.

lol it's rowa phosgaurd that got pumped into the water by my phosreactor but the skimmer got rid of it.

LOL I was just going to say it's rust!! That skimmer certainly seems to be doing a very good job.

Update: I have 27 plants arriving today, that I hope to get planted Saturday to keep the wife happy. Then I plan on taking down the sump/fuge on Sunday (weather permitting - if it rains I won't be able to clean out the sump/fuge in the back yard and get the skimmer in). BUT, I'm taking Monday and Tuesday off as backup, so it WILL be put in by Tuesday latest!

I knew I had seen that color somewhere! Hey, your supposed to rinse that "Rust Dust" off first before letting it get into the aquarium!!

Good to hear that you are planning! I hate having to do that and it's a normal thing around here. I get to where I have to plan things 3 weeks down the road. I have to start writing it down or I will forget!
Just too much on my plate! Well, at least there is a light at the end of the tunnel for you!
It was so darn hot here the last few days the printer died in the office! I had to go get a brand new one. And of course by the time it was all over and the smake cleared I think it probably took 4 hours!
Then of course there's a learning curve involved. That will take more time today! I worked on it till till almost 10:00 PM last night trying to figure EVERYTHING out! SHEESH!!!

Yes, the office has AC. IT was 103 outside!!!! The printer was old and had seen better days. I got the new wireless HP all in one unit. Pretty nice so far! Still learning the ropes!
