Haha. Yes I was up late last night.

I chickened out last night and pulled the plug. I'll fire it up again when I get home. I'm trying to get everything dialed in just in time for a nice vacation in lovely Afghanistan.

As far as water leaking on to the floor if the cup overflows; well, it has happened to me twice, but not enough to be of concern. My tank is tipped just a slight bit towards the back. . The back of the tank ends where the plate sits and there is another thin piece of plastic across the back above this. The water dripped under this plastic piece. I suppose I could silicone this seam if it's a problem. My tank is a 130, so it may be different on yours.

Redseareef....Haven't pulled it out yet, still have a bit of microbubbles, and some of the large ones. Also, I've noticed that any time I shut it off then restart there's a lot of micros that take about an hour to subside.

I've noticed the same with mine. When I turn it off to empty the cup, I get some fizzing after plugging it back in, but with my fully seasoned skimmer it only lasts about 5 minutes max and isn't that bad anyway.

Alright it's back on. Lots of bubbles and the skimmer is sitting about 8" from the base of the cup to prevent overflow. Wife just said...."that looks terrible".
She is referring to the snow globe effect. I told her it will subside. Fingers crossed.

So, I get my Euro-Reef in the mail yesterday, and today the cup was full of green junk. This thing is awesome, one problem I have is that it is constantly throwing tiny bubbles into the tank.

Can this be fixed?

As it breaks in the bubbles will go away! Give it time, as the skimmer is not even close to being broken in yet. Give it another 7 days at least.
Glad to hear it's already pulled out organics! These skimmers get with the program!!!!

Pics soon. Skimmate starting to get more prevalent, but still lots of bubbles in the tank and cup. Body is nearly all the way up with tops of pumps exposed to prevent cup from overflowing.
