| Neon dottyback | Re: Reefmack's RSM 130 Sad to hear, but I guess its a step forward as far as new coral additions. Take pics of the ric. I love those things. Also, do you have to feed Duncans? I want some and would be willing to buy a frag from you if you get around to it.

| NaClH2O Addicted ![]() | Re: Reefmack's RSM 130 I never intentionally feed the Duncans or any of my corals. The Duncans multiply like crazy, and prices on them have really dropped if you search around. I'm not even sure if I can frag mine - the heads are so close to each other. I should at least move them though, so they're not so cramped.

| NaClH2O Addicted ![]() | Re: Reefmack's RSM 130 tutuan - I hate it when I lose a fish, and I hate it even more when they just disappear, since they are obviously decomposing somewhere in the tank. I noticed before I left work this morning that the body of my big Foxface had been dragged by my serpent star into view, under a cavern under the middle of my rocks. Unfortunately I was running late and had no time to deal with it. I'm hoping it's still there tonight so I can try to get it out to avoid any ammonia problems. Mavjoy - is it Elegance or Galaxia that you have?

| NaClH2O Addicted ![]() | Re: Reefmack's RSM 130 Update: I managed to get the deceased Foxface out when I got home. After 2 days he was decomposing a lot and eaten quite a bit by my CUC and most likely bristleworms also, but I'm glad I got the remains out before any ammonia spike. I had a coral delivery for the little 6G Nanocube I've set up, and epoxied a double mouthed orange Ricordea florida onto the bare spot in the RSM left by the zoa colony dying off. While mounting the Ric I looked closely at 2 clumps of a very bright green "something" that had been growing on the coralline on my back gate. I grabbed a quick picture as I was doing a dozen other things at the same time. I'll try for a better picture when I have time: ![]() As I thought, it's 2 small colonies (about 1/2 inch each) of Pocillipora! The polyps can be seen in the crappy picture. Somehow the colonies were created by my larger Pocillopora colony (seen in the last picture above). I've heard the Pocillopora can spread in a tank, and this confirms that. The main colony is 5-6 inches in front of the gate, so the new colonies must have come from a spawning or ejected eggs or polyps of some sort? I thought this was pretty sweet! I don't see any good way of getting the new colonies relocated, unless I can chip off that heavy coralline buildup and manage to keep the coral intact. For now I'll just let them grow. Yes - the coralline is pretty thick on the bottom of the gate! Also some bubbles from cleaning and restarting the skimmer.

| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: Reefmack's RSM 130 So sorry to hear about the foxface. It really stinks to lose part of your family like that. I wish I had an idea on the zoas but I have been watching the thread and it seems nobody knows. Have you tried sending a PM to HMA? Just a shot in the dark, but he may have an idea. That is really cool about the Poccis. You must be doing something right to have that kind of growth.

I have some blue/green ones right up on top of the rock that do well under the high light intensity, so I'm hoping the orange one will too. My Yumas have also done great and have really multiplied.
