__________________ So, God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind.......... Genesis 1:21 Why would God put a forbidden tree in the Garden of Eden? Why would God allow Satan to tempt Eve? Wouldn't it have been better had God not placed this tree there and there where no opportunity for temptation? But how would God know you truly loved him unless you had a choice? How would God know you truly wanted to obey him unless you had a choice? |

| NaClH2O Addicted ![]() | Re: CuC I have some Nassarius, Turbo, Astrea, and Nerite snails. I'd avoid Nerites though - they seem to always be depositing eggs on thre glass and not the easiest to scrape off. Nasarrius are great to burrow into the substrate, and they pop out at night to feed on the surface of the substrate. I have one fighting conch - also a burrower and I may only see mine once a month as it stays under the substrate. I have a banded serpent star that does a great job of picking up excess food off the substrate - one or more snaky arms are always visible, but he rarely comes out while the lights are on and hides out in a big cavern under my rock (that he shares with my big shrimp goby). I still have a couple hermit crabs - great CUC but they also go after the smaller snails for dinner and their shells. I like emerald crabs too - good algae pickers, and the ones I've had have never caused problems. But, a lot of folks are anti-crabs of any kind. I once had an electric blue hermit that got so big it was killing off my big Turbo snails - I finally had to get rid of that hermit. Crabs can be troublemakers at times.

| Cabbage Leather | Re: CuC My RSM tank is only a few days old, and I know I have a long way to go before adding my clean up crew, but I was thinking of the following: 3 Emerald Crabs, 1 or 2 Cleaner Shrimp, 10 Nassarius Snails, 1 Serpent Starfish, and 1 Scarlet Hermit Crab. What do you think? |

| NaClH2O Addicted ![]() | Re: CuC mzreenie - sounds good, but I'd probably add a few Turbos to work on algae on the glass & rocks. The Nasarrius won't spend much time on the glass, while the Turbos, or Astreas, will. But, as you said, wait till you need them, rather than starve them.
