I've just replaced my 9-10 months old light bulbs and the tank look soooo much brighter! The water looks much clearer too...hehe..too bad there are no other choices of bulbs available to run in this tank. I saw one, Hamilton German Bulb, it's a 55W and you can choose from actinic, 10000K white and 6700 white. They have it on Marine Depot. I don't know if this will work tho.

I think you may be using a cell phone for your pics - a Nokia? i'm always amazed at the quality of some of the cell phone pics I see!

You're right RM!...I'm using my N95 Nokia phone LOL. It's not too bad but I want to get a nice crisp macro shots of my corals and such. The phone has 5 mega pixels and it has a Carl Zeiss Optics.

Mavjoy - there's a cool little free piece of software that after installation lets you right click on a picture and it tells you the camera, settings used, software used, etc.

That's how I knew you were using the Nokia N95. It works on most pictures, but once in a while it doesn't & I'm not sure why.

As an example here's part of what you can see (one of redseareef's pics):

Here are some updated pics of my fishes and the tank. Check my hermit nesting on my birdsnest...get it?...LOL...the hermit is my one and only crustacean in the tank. My coris and clown are getting along well. My maroon seems like its getting serviced by the wrasse...hehe. I guess its true that this type of wrasse cleans off parasites or bugs of other fishes

The tank is looking great. I'm thinking about getting a birdsnest to replace one of my montis that has been overwhelmed by palys & GSP. I've read that the coris can be a fish "cleaner" so that's pretty cool!

Thanks RM, yeah the birdsnest is doing pretty good and I see new growth under my stock lights

I bet under your modded lights, it will just take off in no time...hehe..I'm glad that my fishes get along well and not picking on my corals...oh yeah!...about the acan, I do want to get some before X-mas. I'll be hunting for some good specimen between now and the 24th and see what happens. Wish me luck.

Is there any alternative skimmer besides a tunze 9002? Something that will fit in the back chambers or a hang on one.
