Re: Full Tank RSM Photos~

I can't believe I said kitchen roll. I forgot what you called it, knew it was in the kitchen, in a roll. But that's my bad english.

Does anyone keep Sea Apples? I've not seen one here yet. I know they are probably more suited to a species tank but I thought I would have seen one. Way back, I kept two in my tank and they were stunning.

Re: Full Tank RSM Photos~

UK vs American English
Kitchen roll = paper towel roll
Bog Roll = toilet paper/toilet tissue
Fag = Cigarette

I know I'm missing lots of "translations"

LMAO!

Aren't Sea Apples highly toxic if they die?

Re: Full Tank RSM Photos~

Sea Apples are toxic if they expel their insides or release toxic gas if really stressed. I never had a problem with mine.

Re: Full Tank RSM Photos~

I think that last one is a Catalaphyllia (aka Elegance Coral) - they can be a pretty aggressive LPS.

Clutch - I can't find the Elegance in the last FTS - did you move it or get it after the picture was taken?

Very observant, you win!

Indeed, I just put the Aussie Elegance in the front left corner yesterday. These are my favorite LPS. (The far right corner is another Aussie Elegance but slightly different tentacle structure). I've researched them a whole bunch and the genral consensus is the Australian Elegance is much hardier than the Indo-Pacific or Japan version which are about to be endangered. The jury is still out on the final hardiness between the two though. There is also talk about the position of the critter should be on "it's back" vs verticle. The jury is still out and I want to learn more about their "correct" natural position in their habitat.

Re: Full Tank RSM Photos~

Good luck with the Elegance! As you've probably already read a lot of them now being sold come from deeper water than they used to (overharvesting?), and often aren't as hardy. Hopefully that Aussie will be a winner for you!
