Re: Full Tank RSM Photos~

Here's mine as of this afternoon. My prized colony of red/orange zoas came loose so I set it on the bottom, but before I could find the time to remount it the whole colony died off within a few days. The monster orange Monti cap is growing exponentially and shading a large part of my rock now, plus growing into and over other corals. I hate to break it apart but may have to soon. Or get some sun corals to put in the shade.

I'm not too happy with the way the tank looks, or the corals now fighting over space. Funny how I once wanted to see my corals grow - now I wish they'd stop!

I'll try to update my tank thread with other pictures tonight or tomorrow.

Re: Full Tank RSM Photos~

Hi,

We seem to be getting an ever growing selection of zoas and Rics in the uk now though not many lfs name the colours. Seems like a good idea to me, at least you know what to expect. Having said that some internet sellers now use wysiwyg.
Will you have to dismantle your whole tank to frag the monti reefmack?

Re: Full Tank RSM Photos~

Hi. I'm not sure what will happen if I start hacking away at the Monti. I'm a bit afraid it will cause a rockslide - that thing is very thick, but maybe the edges will come off easily. I posted a bunch of new pics in my tank thread last night, and just posted a pic this morning of how small it was 11 months ago.

Beautiful coral but if I could do it over I wouldn't have added it to the tank.

Re: Full Tank RSM Photos~

I was thinking of a monti myself, perhaps a Turbinaria would be a better choice for me. Hmmm not sure.

He man, I know what you mean, the only thing you can do is GARDENING. You got to frag the Sh..... out of your tank. I have to do that 2 times a month with some of my corals. The store near by and my friends like that very much....... :-)

By the way, very nice tank. I like it a lot.

Re: Full Tank RSM Photos~

Thanks Madfish. I still haven't cracked of the edges of the Monti, but it has to be done!
