What do you think of this price?

I went my lfs and they had some zoanthids, sand polyps, and xenia all on a 3x3 frad square thing. It was 40 bucks. The xenia is about 6 inches tall. Is this a good price???

Re: What do you think of this price?

It depends on how healthy and full they look. that's a bit much for Zoas etc but it lots of polyps maybe it's good.

You have a LOT going on in your tank... don't you want to get things under control before adding more "stuff"?

Re: What do you think of this price?

i voted no. it really depends, but those are fast spreading corals, so not much work is put into raising them and that seems personally to me like a steep price

Re: What do you think of this price?

I'm not sure what sand polyps are. I wouldn't pay anything for xenia, I have a ton of it, and I give it away on a regular basis. As far as zoas go, it depends on what kind they were. I'm guessing if they were at the lfs they probably weren't anything rare, that's just my experience. Some zoas can go on ebay for over 300 bucks a polyp!! If it's worth the money to you, then it's a good price.
