What test kit do you use?

i think it's time for me to get a new test kit. i started with a mini master test kit, which confused me to no end, then switched to dip tests which are easy but i've heard not as accurate. i'm running low on strips so i'm deciding what to replace them with...

what do you use? or if you're using something that you think is not the best, what test kit do you think is the most accurate and most easy to read?

Re: What test kit do you use?

I use and have used API liquid and Salifert test kits for a long time with no issues at all.
Whatever test kit you get, make sure they are not expired and follow the directions carefully. Shake, wait, etc. just like they instruct.

I've used Salifert test kits, but I hear Elos is just as good. I might give Elos products a try in the near future. People say it's considered "high-end" stuff but oh well...you gotta try it to believe it!

Re: What test kit do you use?

Started with Tetra garbage - just got the reef master kit (Phos, Calc, Alk, Ni)3) by API and like it alot better. The coloration time is much faster and the tests are much easier to read.

The Nano Club - It's not the size of the reef. It's what's in it that counts

I use Salifert test kits, they cost more but I trust the results

Re: What test kit do you use?

I use the api master test kit along with instant ocean akalinity and calcium test. Does anyone have a suggestion for a better calcium test. It's hard to differenciate between pink and purple with the instant ocean test.

Re: What test kit do you use?

I use Salifert for Alk, Ca, and Phosphate. I forget the brand I use for pH and the various nitrogen compounds.

Re: What test kit do you use?

Salifert and API. Seachem also make a good test kit for mag. I have also used Fast Test in the past with good results.
My best kit is my eye i think
