I voted API but don't really care for the tests, the results seem ambiguous to me. I plan on going with some Salfert test kits in the future. From what little I know about them, probes would be cool too but they co$t quite a bit, and I think you need a controller of some sort, etc...

salifert here, i do use API as back ups, but only as back ups.
