How often do you test, Santa's watching

Well, I'll be the first to say it, I don't offten. I know you should blah blah blah. But what about you ,are you really good?

I only test if something looks off - I do moniter salinty though every waterchange

Mainly I test to make sure the water for changes matches the tank water.

Right now I'm testing 3 times a week because I have new equipment attached so I'm still tweaking things.

Usually it's once every other week though...

Salinity once a week with WC.

I've been a little lax on the others as all the corals look happy and extended.
Santa and I have a deal. He keeps me on the nice list and I don't tell Mrs. Claus what he's been up to. lol

I test salinity 3x weekly because of all the small volume. I too am lax on most tests as they always check in fine, and everyone seems happy.

i test about once a week, whenever i add something, or whenever i do anything to my tank.

I test weekly with my water changes. More often when I have something looking off. I do check Calc/Alk daily; however, since I seem to have troubles keeping my parameters high enough. I didn't think 2 SPS frags would hit my calc/alk as much as they did. Maybe Santa will bring me a Calc Reactor this year.

I check salinity every couple of weeks when I do a water change. The other params when something doesn't seem right. Once I get new ORP and pH probes for my Aquacontroller II I'll set up my Ca reactor, Nielson reactor, and ozone. Don't know if that will make me test more or less often.

What is a Nielsen reactor? Do we need to be checking for Nielsen ratings? lol

I test TWICE a week. The reason TWICE a week is I have TWO tanks so that's one time per tank per week. If something looks/feels/smells "off" out come the test kits.
