Re: what kind of reef lighting do you have?

I have 2-150W MHs, 2-96W actincs and 3 lunar lights over my 90 gallon tank.

The poll doesn't match the thread title. But as far as fitrations goes, my tank is 100% filtered by the live rock, live sand, filter feeding organisms and my refugium. I have no mechanical filtration. I have an ASM skimmer, but the poll says, excluding skimmers.

Re: what kind of reef lighting do you have?

I have 6 65w PC bulbs over the 55g.. two 50/50's, two 10k, and two actinic 03's... The 125g will have 2 14k metal halides on each end, and a 250w 14k in the middle with three 65w PC actinics. My frag tank has a 400w MH 6500k over it. Filtration on the 55g consists of the berlin method. sump/fuge LR, and a BIG skimmer. The 125 will be the same (larger scale of course), and the frag tank will be plumbed into that system.. The current 55g will be taken out of service and sold once the new tank has cycled and I move all my fish/corals into it.

Re: what filtiration do you have?

I have a sump, but i also use a filter sock. Those are the only mechanical filters that I run on my tank.

Re: what filtiration do you have?

I have an overflow with two drains, one to the sump and one to the fuge. Water going into my sump has a sock to catch the big stuff (I rinse it everyday). The fuge has a DSB and the slow flow water going in isn't filtered, overflow from the fuge goes to the sump. The sump houses the skimmer.Return water from the sump is further filtered with a large pore sponge (pods can get through it). A portion of the return water goes through a chem filter with carbon and phosgard. And I still have an occasional problem with turbid water..

phosban reacor with carbon replacing the phosban
fuge w/DSB

Well if you want lights we have to talk about what tank.
The 125g reef has 3 150w 10,9000k MH and 4 96w PC actinic

The seahorse tank I thnk has 2 24w PC bulbs. It is whatever comes with the 24g Aquapod.

The 20 clown tank has T5 lights. I honestly do not remember the wattage but it is a Nova Extreme fixture with 2 bulbs. I want to say 48w but I am not at all sure.
