regal "hippo" tang- what should i do with him?

i decided to put this to a vote. i just can not make my mind up. here is the deal. i have a regal tang (Paracanthurus hepatus). i have had him about a year now. he is very healthy. my tank is 72X18X20. he has been getting somewhat aggressive, as expected. he has been keeping all but the firefish in the corners. believe it or not the firefish is king of this tank, he swims all over not just by his hole. anyway i just added 2 new fish which made the tang even more aggressive. but still not that bad. i just think he will get more and more aggressive as he ages, so.... i caught him today and he is now in a QT. a little scratched up and stressed but ok. took a small chunk of his tail with the forceps, in a area that will grow back. i was going to sell him or get store credit. but now looking at the tank with out him, i miss him and am starting to think i should but him back in a week or two. my mind just goes bbblllllaaaaahhhhh. so i will let you guys make my mind up.

o almost forgot, i guess it would help if you knew what was in there. here is the current fish list;

purple firefish (Nemateleotris decora)
hector’s goby (Amblyeleotris hectori)
rainford's goby (Amblygobius rainfordi)
yellow watchman goby (Cryptocentrus cinctus)
mandrine goby(Synchiropus splendidus)
royal gramma (Gramma loreto)
2-percula clowns (Amphiprion ocellaris)
Maldives lyretail anthias (Pseudanthias squamipinnis) male...just added
swallowtail angelfish Genicanthus melanospilus) female.......just added

Trade him in for two or three babies, they are really pretty when there small, like puppies, when they grow up it all gets nasty lol.

Sell him to a local reefer or LFS. We owe it to our fishey friends to provide a harmononeous and stress free environment. Everyone knows I'll remove an aggressive fish in a heart beat

My Hippo is getting a little aggressive too! He's always brushing up against the ohter fish and dive bombing my jawfish. I dread having to catch him! Why did I get this fish!:smck:

You've had him too long to just give him to a LFS for redistribution into an unknown tank. If you put him back in the tank after three weeks he'll probably be p***** at you and take it out on his tank mates. The only tang fit for human consumption is Orange Tang (barely). Therefore your only choice left is to try and find a suitable home for him in a large but more aggressive tank (a fellow reefer's).
