1 to the LFS
7 to fellow reefer
5 return 3weeks
6 for making a sandwich

if i vote for the sanwich, its all tied up. did not expect the sandwich idea to take off like it is. uummmm the tang police must be in the donut house not show up with such grievous behavior.

lol... you all are REAL funny!

I love my purple and hippo tangs but they are still on the young side so time will tell. Of course, they are in there with 4 young damsels and two young clowns and a royal and a foxface. It's a FUN tank to watch for sure!

Re: regal "hippo" tang- what should i do with him?

I voted to put it back in after a few weeks but i didn't know what the poll was for before i did it. I still vote to keep it. I have been thinking of getting rid of my Atlantic Blue because of all the troubles i have had with him but have changed my mind again. I just put to much into it to dump him. I bet the few weeks will change the fishes additude.

Re: regal "hippo" tang- what should i do with him?

FYI; the oopppsssed thread votes are

LFS=0
reefer=1
return=3
dinner=2

so currently the standings are;
goes to LFS=3
fellow reefer=9
back to tank=7
sandwhich=6

looks like a fellow reefer is pulling ahead. i still keep changing my mind though , hourly

i am going to let things ride for the weekend then see what everyone thinks is best. thanks for helping everyone

Re: regal "hippo" tang- what should i do with him?

well, a little over 2 months in QT and he is back. yup back in the main tank. no luck on selling him and i am too lazy to bring him to the LFS. besides he is way to healthy to be put in any LFS tank. just today i was watching my tank(big surprise huh, lol) anyway i noticed the angel was getting aggressive in claiming the whole tank. even the anthias that usually doesnt put up with too much harssment was looking scared and getting chased a little too much. i must say though still the firefish remains king, lol i love that. well i am more attached to the regal and if anyone is going to be the punk i want it to be him. the angel is way more intent on harassing others than the tang ever was.

ok his in. hide about 2min. i feed a little and he is happy as can be swimming all over. jumped right in on the feed frenzy. the angel now all fat and feeling like the king knows she just got demoted . i can see it in her face. a little scrapping with the firefish i think reminded the tang this is the same boosy firefish as before, the tang has been swiming around the firefish after that, . the anthias and tang had a little show and tell, but since have pretty much ignored eachother. everyone notices the tang but all is well. now the angel on the other hand, hehehe, is petrified. very scared of the tang. she started to act a little tuff to my gramma a then the tang swims by raises his fins and the angel runs and hides. the gramma dosent care about the tang and sits there as the tang cruises by. i still dont think the tang likes the angel, he seems to be keeping on eye out for him. so we will have to wait and see how that ends up

Re: regal "hippo" tang- what should i do with him?

I must just be really lucky because I never see any of my fish picking on each other. Even in the predator tank. Everyone seems to be very happy and content.

Although the foxface in my reef tank swims around and looks like he is ticked off half of the time and raises his spikes when others get too close to him but he isn't ever aggressive.
