Do you sleep with the fishes?

I was curious where everyone keeps their aquariums.

My 12g nano is in my bedroom (I swear it helps with my insomnia!), my 45gxh Terrarium is in the dining room, and my 46g bowfront reef will go in the living room.

i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~

Re: Do you sleep with the fishes?

Both of my tanks are in my bedroom, a 75g and 20g. They help with sleep for the most part. The MH's kickin on a 9AM when I'm tryin to sleep in gets old.

Re: Do you sleep with the fishes?

Mine is in the breakfast nook of the kitchen. Our floor plan is open so I can view the tank throughout the living room and into the foyer.

Nope, I don't care to sleep with the fishes but if I HAD too, I would.

Re: Do you sleep with the fishes?

My oceanic 30g is in the living room, and I just started a nanocube 6 for the kitchen (will probably be moving it into the bedroom).

Re: Do you sleep with the fishes?

Living Room, but because of the vaulted ceilings I hear it throughout the upstairs of the house, including where I sleep. Sometimes this is a blessing. I don't here it over the snoring going on, but at times the hubby has woke me up in the middle of the night and asked if there was something wrong with the tank (like absolutely no water in the sump).

Re: Do you sleep with the fishes?

Living Room, I love the water, sounds like a river if I close my eyes, Rhonda on the other hand hates the noise, so I made a gurgle buster and now I have a hard time even hearing it sitting right next to it...
