ok, i'll try to keep him away for longer this time.
and it was krill, but i'll try cutting it in half as well. Thanks for the tips

Well if you feed it more it'll grow very quickly and take up a quarter of your tank...Oooops I forgot your getting a big tank

I tell ya I saw a full size carpet and it was enormous at least 3 feet circumference !

I never fed my rbta because the clown hosts did it for me. The lta i fed once a week with mysis shrimp.

I feed mine about every other week or so he doesnt seem to want it any more frequently than that ..i have to isolate him from the clown..the clown never lets him eat he just rips the food right out of his mouth..and he doesnt feed him either
Usually if i see him try to move i feed him and that seems to help him stay put aswell!!

I feed my purple LTA twice a week. Small chopped pices of thawed silversides. He is growing quickly. I was feeding daily and had to cut back so he didn't outgrow the tank.

My concern with feeding daily would be that it would eventually kill the Anemone. If you have proper lighting {Metal Halide} and the Anemone is in good health you don't need to feed it regularly...I'll go months without feeding my BTA's.

He has been eating 2x a week for a couple months now... Is that too much? I do have MH's and he seems to be thriving... I am certainly willing to reduce feedings if it is better for him. Please advise...

My BTA came home a bit bleached (I think) He is a light flourescent green from being under crappy lighting at the LFS. At first he was moving around a lot and not holding on to food. Over the last week or so he has been taking small bits of silverside and has settled down in one spot. Ive been trying to feed him every other day now and he is slowly getting his nice green coloring back. I hope that is not to much food for him but he does seem much happier and healthier now!
