Re: Acrylic vs. Glass

I would probably use 3 pendants hung inside... would that work? If not, I'll get a custom made stand and canopy.

Re: Acrylic vs. Glass

I think hqi reflectors will fit in them with room to reach in if push comes to shove. If you get really creative you can install something to pull the canopy up off the tank for when you want to work in it.

Re: Acrylic vs. Glass

Doni what is the dimensions on the 180 ? The problem with pendants is the light is very concentrated so you don't get a very large spread of light especially just 8" of the water. I would consider using LumenArc reflectors and retro Moguls. JMHO

Re: Acrylic vs. Glass

I don't think lumenarcs will fit.
You can probably fit the pfo parallel reflectors in there however. I'll have to go to the storage place to measure how high it is though. But the light spread is excellent.

Re: Acrylic vs. Glass

Thanks. I know the reflectors are a VERY important factor when setting up retro lighting! I am used to plug-n-play so this is all new to me...

I'll note that PFO parallel reflectors are good
