Sounds too much like work. My last adventure at yard work was to kill some fire ants...dang near killed me! I bought some spray stuff at the grocery store that said it would kill them It just made them really mad! They attacked my feet and I ran away stomping and screaming to the top of my lungs...you just had to be there LOL. Obviously I survived. I called Daddy and he came to the rescue with some gas and a lighter. He soaked the hill with gas and torched them. Why didn't I think of that? Probably best I didn't think of it...I might not have a house anymore. I know, I know...such a spoiled brat!

Re: ooopppseeee

They are bad news. They haven't been here long, but I can't seem to get rid of them. It seems like more show up every time dad burns them up. Maybe he's not killing them, they are just relocating? (sounds like they are the cyano of the human world, only they bite!)

Re: ooopppseeee

dont burn em,,,just pour gas into all the mounds,,,its the fumes that kill. but you will never get rid of them,,,but make them want to live elsewhere.....id rather have fire ands than killer bees,,,,,feared them in Az. im allergic to bees!!

*Disclaimer*
i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~

Re: ooopppseeee

Now that's a mean octopus!

witt..i'm allergic to bees too, and about everything else that stings or bites. I always keep an epi pen and benadryl close by when I'm working in the tank or outside. Surprisingly, the ants didn't cause an allergic reaction. But, man did they hurt! If I get stung again I'll probably react them then. I'll try the gas this spring when they come back.

Killer bees..eeek! Judging from the way I react to a little yellow jacket, I'd probably consider moving if they came here before I turned into an angel.
