Re: OT~First snow

We had our first snow fall Nov 24. I love winter and was in a wonderful mood when I got into work and actually spent a few minutes playing outside before going in. The president of the company and my manager arrived while I was playing outside and apparently they didn't see things the same way that I do and were a lot more....grumpy.... then normal. I also recieved a lot of glares while walking threw the office that morning with a big smile on my face. Sheesh, I'm normally the grumpy one, here I thought they would be delighted to see me in a good mood! Apparently they didn't like the reason I was so happy and felt no restraint when telling me off, especially when singing Christmas Carols.

A Couple early morning photos for you!

Re: OT~First snow

I thoo think it would be very boring not to have such distinct seasons. I really like winter (except for the short days) and wouldn't trade my white Christmas's in for the world. I would hate to have Christmas in the middle of summerlike weather.

Re: OT~First snow

It was strange at first, Getting into the spirit but ounce I Put up the lights it really helped. I do have to say that we do have different seasons here just not as drastic of swing. I loved the snow also but one summer at 120 and you really don't miss it anymore.

Re: OT~First snow

Snow? Ugh! What a totally depressing thought! Having lived most of my life in the frozen places, I don't miss it a bit. Massachusetts, Colorado, Wyoming (the coldest) Utah, Idaho, and Washington all had LOTS of cold and snow, more than enough to last me a lifetime. Witt, I agree, Christmas at 80*, with palm trees and white sandy beaches (along with a couple of nice cold tropical run-filled drinks) is IMO much preferable to sub-zero temps and 2 ft. of freshly fallen misery!
