| Serpent Star | You hit me hard with that one TG. See, I just lost my grandmother last year, and the memories of the lady in the story reminds me of all the times my grandmother and I would talk. Talk about her dancing, her playing ball, seeing movies, the day she met my grandfather, etc. When it was her time to go, I learned a very valuable life leason that day. Take nothing for granted, tell the people you love that you love them as ofter as possible, take the time to stop and talk to somebody older for awhile to rekindle their spirit, give a mentally challenged child a hug instead of pretending they are not there. You never know how much these things mean to other people. Salty Queen you are truly a saint for working in the field you do. So many people just want to look away when they see somebody with a dissability, and it truly saddens me. These people are some of the best people with the biggest hearts you could find anywhere. Thank you for being a good person and bless you and your family this holliday season!

| Golden Moray | You guys are killing me here. I'll let you in on a little secret. I'm a little sensitive. I first saw this thread last night when I was stuck on the phone with a client. I had to turn it off real quick because it got to me and my client could hear it in my voice. Being nice is Free!!!

| Tunicate | Tank Girl, I have received that story before and it touched me a great deal then expecially because I cared for both of my parents at the ends of their lives and in both cases witnessed first hand loving miracles that meant so much. I got a book for Christmas called "Family Christmas" that is a compilation of stories of similar goodness and kindness. Last night my 7year old daughter asked me to repeat one of the stories to her and she commented that they are the type that need to be told and retold not just read. Teachreef. |

| Tunicate | Tankgirl and Craig, Thanks for the greeting and concern. Being part of the lives of people that look death in the face right on (as the woman in the story did) is a priviledge. They passed away 4 and 9 years ago now. I do have a regret in the tank area. My dad was a vet who thought the complexity of the ocean would be too difficult to duplicate unless in a large scale professional aquarium. He also was a huge computer freek and I don't believe he ever experienced the internet. What would he think of our tanks and the resources and friendships from online! The world has changed in 9 years! Teachreef |
