Malvo Guilty!!

Just announced Malvo Quilty! Now for the second step. His sentence.

Hopefully they will catch the 270 snipper in Ohio soon. It's kinda scary knowing that you could be killed just driving somewhere minding your own business. What is wrong with people these days?

i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~

Makes me want to go back to my childhood when I walked bare footed down a dirt country road in Vermont and all was well with the world!

How people and time has changed all in how we exist in this world now!

While I don't recall most of the history of this case (i.e. how long Malvo was under Muhammad's "control"), I rest a lot of blame on Muhammad for Malvo's actions. Does that excuse his killing of innocent victims, of course not. Should it be taken into consideration, I think so.

It is a fact that perfectly good people can be brain washed (i.e. Nazi Germany) and I think this is the case with Malvo. So, I feel that his (and Muhhamad's) sentencing should consider this.

The "an eye for an eye" ideology always perturbs me a bit. It is an ideology based on hatred masked by justice. Do I feel sorry for Muhammad, of course not. Do I feel sorry for Malvo, well, in one sense no (because I think of the victim's and their families) but at the same time, I also see how a weak-minded 16 year old (now 18) could easily be molded into something else.

It is something I struggle with quite a bit but I just feel that killing a man, any man, is and always will be murder, no matter who that man is or what he has done.

Just a couple of pennies and of course just my own opinion...

Take er easy

My Christian catechesis tells me to turn the other cheek, which is what we should aspire to do, but the real issue is accountability and responsibility for your actions. That is the point of the above quote.

The way I read most of the comments in this thread is the outpouring of frustration with the senseless, morally bankrupt attitude that goes with the taking of peoples lives for whatever reason. It just ain't right, eh? You can't just slap them on the hand or put them in time out.

I'm from Puerto Rico. In Puerto Rico they have no death penalty and very strict gun control laws (by some considered a perfect society). The reason my family moved here was because of the crime rate. Puerto Rico is now considered one of the most lethal states to live in, compared to all 50 states. The jails are extremely overcrowded and people are constantly breaking out. As a matter of fact when I was in school they would sometimes spot a prisoner in school grounds and we had procedures on what to do because of how common that was (my school was only miles away from one of the prison ). Just my 50 cents on death penalty and gun control.

I believe in forgive and forget but in a society where there are no consequences for your actions humans actions will only worsen. Its human nature to push limits.

Guns don't kill, people do. Gun contol doesn't work. The framers of the Constitution knew that when they gave us the right to bear arms. There was no standing army at that time so that meant people like you and me. The difference is the moral values and the culture of death that exists today. Unfortunately, life isn't valued in society as it once was.

Gun control or no gun control, if you outlaw guns, then only out laws will have guns. How you want to look at that topic is you own opinnion, it wouldn't have change the out come of the shootings. I belive they should let the victoms choose their fate. In this country today criminials have more rights than the victms... How sad.
