Cool Your Christmas wish list

Tell us what you're hoping to get under the tree (or in your tank, or in the wall, or in your garage) this year!!!

I'll start with my not-so-tall order:

I'm just hoping for a SmartLite PC retrofit kit to hook up over my mini-bow. Not the biggest, most impressive gift, but it'd make my day!

Something I know I wont get. An engagement ring from the BF. Maybe next year. The big thing that I want.....peace in my life. As far as a gift....I am going to Indiana this christmas to meet my daughter who was 25 this past May. It's a long story so I won't bore you all. The short of it is I put up my baby for adoption 25 years ago because as it was said to me at the time..It is the right thing to do. WRONG!! Anyway, she found me about 2 weeks ago. She lives in Indiana along with the rest of my family so, I heading west to finally meet her. I am very excited about it and very scared all at the same time. So, my big gift is waiting for me there.

My new Acrylic 180 or better yet, the 26" high 190 I want! This stand has been empty so long, my wife decided to set-up her Christmas village in it this year!
Here's a pic:

Hopefully, the mods won't move this to another gallery!

Gina, good luck with the reunion. Hope everything works out well for you both.

Gina,

I'm so happy for you. A friend of mine just got to meet her daughter of about the same age and now they are inseparable.

Gina,

May God Bless you this coming Holiday and I'm so excited for you to get to see your daughter. Our kids are 26, 24, and 18 and I know just how blessed you will be to finally see her. Don't be so hard on yourself, guessing from the circumstances it was a wonderful gift of selflessness to do the right thing years ago. It's going to be awesome!

Now for my Christmas list, well I have just about everything that I could want except one really important thing. My 3 children and I are in good health and we have a good home to live in. But If I could wish for just one thing it would be someone to share my life with. Yes I have my children to do that with, but they are getting older and are getting their own life.

Greg, Hope you get that retrofit!

Gina, Good Luck with your daughter!!!

Boomy, I got a feeling that gorgeous tankstand will be filled with more than Xmas decorations, sometime soon.

Curts, you didn't tell us your Christmas wish!! What are you wishing for?

mwrager, You're lucky I don't live near you - I'm a hopeless romantic and always trying to set people up with each other. But, you're doing the right thing - I truly believe if you want a wish to come true - you gotta put it out there in the world! Don't jump for the first one who shows up!

I hate being maudlin, but you guys are making me feel pretty sentimental. Since I already got my Christmas wish (a blue tort), do I get another wish? If so, I wish everyone would tell me it's a good idea to use Turbelles to keep detritus suspended in my tank.

i hope everyone gets what they need want and desire, i know things get hectic at this time of year so right now i hope things just calm down a bit. bypass all the hullaballoo and fallderall and spend some quiet time with friends and family.(hint: ya'll are the friends).

i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~
