So glad my SUV days are over, I just could not afford it. I have heard rumors that the price will continue to climb this spring to about the $2.50-$2.60 national average, and will only drop when the price finally makes people curtail their driving.

HYbrids and alternative fuels are looking more and more attractive...

Take er easy

There is PLENTY of oil to go around, the drillers just dont want to go after it.

Why would you when you can milk what you got?

I remember my vacation to Germany about 9 yrs ago, gas was $2/gal there then

I considered a Hybrid but comming down from an SUV to a compact was a big enough change for now They need to work out the kinks on those for a few years too I'll consider them at my next purchase.... hopefully 8 yrs from now! lol~

What are fuel prices where you are? Here (Toronto Canada) they are at $0.85/L or $3.21/Gallon which works out to $2.63(USD)/ Gallon.

Personally I don't have any pity for seeing your gas prices rising, it's about time they start coming closer to what the rest of the world pays for fuel. Even stating that, I know that here in Canada we even pay relatively little for fuel compared to European nations!

I haven't had a car for over a year now (for various reasons) and although it was a huge lifestyle change I don't regret it whatsoever. I know that for a lot of people going without a car isn't an option but for me it's working out. Next vehicle I get sometime down the road will be a hybrid.
