| Achilles Tang ![]() | We got lucky! After riding 30 miles out off the coast we spotted a group of six grey whales making their way south. They were shy but peaceful. We watched them for more than 30 minutes. Between their only occational surfacing and my camera's three second delay between when I push the button and when the image is taken -- photos were tough to get. Here are the two best. Overall we saw several harbor porposes, a big group of white sided dolphins, several sea lions, lots of migratory birds and a group of six grey whales - probably juvenile males miandering south. Nice day! ![]()

| Reef Shark ![]() | I've fished out there for years, at the Farallons for rockfish, and farther out, chasing the albacore, out of pillar point for salmon...Lots of pilot whales, grays, humpies, and even occasional blue whales, the largest animal on the planet. Glad you had a good time. It just doesn't b get much better than being out there on a good day. ( or much worse than being out there on a BAD day! )

| Cabbage Leather | About 10 years ago I managed to go visit my brother who lives in Alaska, One of the things I did while I was up there was to go out into the Cook Inlet & see the whales! We only seen several large whales but we did see a lot of the orca whales which was really cool. There was one group of them that seemed to follow about 20 yards alongside the boat for several miles. BTW Have you seen this pic on RC! Not a whale but could you imagine the thoughts going through his head!
