My yearly quota of 1 has now been fullfilled driving home the day after Xmas. I guess nothing west of Raleigh got any snow. I-40 was a nightmare, the towns just aren't prepared for handling snow.

from the way it sounds on the news, Craig over in Reno is probably getting his fair share of wet stuff, whether it be snow or rain. Crazy weather this year...

Take er easy

I've already had my fill of snow. We had somewhere in the 15 to 18" right before Christmas. I had to shovel the new driveway in order to move my family from the condo into the house. It was real fun.

I do agree that if its going to be cold, the least it could do is snow.

I'm already ready for spring. If I have to, I'll go hunting for groundhogs the day before groundhog day just to be sure that he wont see his shadow (cant see your shadow if yer ded - lol).

We have had nothing but, fog and rain here the last two days! Supposed to be in the 60's! I heard a cold front may come through this weekend though. I am used to having snow on the ground by this time. I'm still waiting for a blizzard so I can play hookie from work. I thought last night, with everything that has been hapening lately...armigedon! The weather has been throwing us some punches!

Gumby,
I know about your snow in Ohio! I drove on 70 heading out to Indy Christmas day. I have never seen so many cars off the road! Even a few totally turned over.

I delivered pizza (for Donatos) on the evening of Dec 23 and I about broke the Ford Focus trying to get into and out of streets. The plows were having a hard time keeping the main roads cleaned off and here I was trying to drive a low profile car on back roads. I cant imagine how the highway was.

Ford Focus -13K
Delivering pizzas after the 2nd most snowfall in 10yrs +$50
Replacing the Transmission after burning it out on snowy backroad -$1200
Having to call your wife to come get you in the truck = priceless

Fortuneatly I didn't have to do that because it wouldn't have made her happy. I got home safely that day, but the delivery area shrank as the night went on.
