Who works at an aquarium?

I read on a post once that someone works at an aquarium. Who was it? I was just wondering how they came about working there and all that kind of stuff.

TIA

i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~

I worked at the Rain Forest Cafe out at Disney for about a month or so. I would clean their tanks and feed the livestock. That job kinda just happened for me. A family member and dive instructor was training the animal husbandry manager out there and they needed extra help on the weekend and I fit the bill.
The only thing is that these jobs don't pay well. I applied out at Seaworld one summer and they were paying $7.25 an hour. And that was while cleaning tanks at the Wild Arctic (59 degree water)! Sheeish!

I never posted it here but back in 1980 through 81 I worked at the Mystic Marine Life Aquarium in mystic Conn where I grew up. I was 18 at the time and it was one my first jobs. I was hired to help clean the filter system for the main pool which contained the Dolphins and Wales, and then the job turned into overnight maintenance which consist of general building pair and maintenance and security when it was closed to the public. my favorite part of the job was that night when the building was empty spending time with the marine mammals, I really enjoyed the beluga whales they would just love to dock up against the stage and get their gums robbed. those memories of spending time with the whales are my fondest memories of growing up.
