I just want to make one small comment (unrelated to the original topic). Even if you think the issue is trivial, people just want to vent. They may say "I hate **** because of this." "*** sucks because of that." But chances are, after venting they will be happy to return. As long as things are kept fair and honest, there shouldn't be a problem saying your piece. I know on that same board we have been speaking about, one moderator in particular shuts threads down the second things seem to be going down. In fact, IMO the closing is far too premature - but that is moot.

I like RL's idea that as long as a thread is "clean" let's leave it open. People will tire of the topic and move on. When you close a topic early, people keep the feelings in and tend to repeat the threads later.

RC and Alf...perhaps you should let Chris know that there was a big post by Scrooge awhile ago that specifiacally outlined what was allowed as far as posting about and linking to other forums. Unless I am remembering incorrectly, diplaying of banners was specifically allowed. Perhaps a post concerning the change of rules that were specifically made might be a good idea.

Kevin I total agree! I was just told after questioning it that it was going to be new policy. He said that Links were allowed but not banners.

It's good to see everyone getting along here and taking things with a grain of salt. Alf and RC it's good to see you here as well as there.

Nikki is right on when she says all boards have there strengths and weaknesses because all boards are really just you and me with all of our warts exposed, eh?

Take RL's advice to heart and post or PM issues related to other boards THERE and not here. In addition, take Cutswearing's advice and think twice before hitting enter or be quick to use the edit button, eh?

If you really need to vent, send your favorite Moderator a PM.
