Autumn at your house

Fall is particularly beautiful this year in NE Georgia. I thought I would share photos of the leaves I see right outside my windows. I'm sure some of you northerners will scoff at the color, but for here it is quite nice.

Outside the bathroom window with morning sun making it glow...

Out the living room window, same sunshine...

Off the deck...

What does it look like where you are?

This is the prettiest and most vibrant color I can remember. It seems there was an autumn a few years ago where Gail and I were saying how pretty it was, but it doesn't compare to this years. We were driving to go vote around 1:00 today and marveling at everything. It seemed like the woods were on fire! I hope others post pics of their surroundings as well, I'd like to see them...

Greg-I wish my trees were that pretty. It got to cold TO fast this year for the years to change color, they just lost their leaves.

We have very little color here this year Al. Too much rain I guess. Last year was amazing. This year,...not so much.

Greg come BACK to WNC! We are having some AMAZING colors. From the tips of the mountains down to the valleys we are BLAZING with colors. If this hard rain and wind doesn't strip the trees I'll try some pics Sunday.

Just a little photo tip: When photographing fall leaves the best time to shoot is in the late afternoon. This time provides the best contrast and warms the photo. You can then add just a touch of saturation and have a stunning photo.

Morning...gives a warm glow but the contrast is not there
Noon or overcast......Causes a flat photo
Late afternoon......Perfect contrast and warmth
Evening....Photo is cool in color (blue) if it isnt too dark

Just thought I would help out a little. Throw my .02 in.
