Thought I would Share!

Hi Everyone!

You know with this Iraqi war going on it really pray for our troops over there alot. It has really hit home for our family now as my brother's son just left a week ago and is now in Iraq. He is 27 miles from Bagdad.

My brother got the first letter from him and thought I would share.

Hey old man, jean said this was your new email adress so i hope this goes through alright. Anyway, Im now in Iraq. We got here about a week ago. Not quite in the spot we're supposed to be yet, but that should be soon. Right now we're at camp Anaconda in Balad, Iraq, we're going to be going to Taji Airbase in a couple days. Not a whole hell of a lot going on. There is nothing for us to do yet so we just kinda sit around and pass the time anyway we can. Nobody knows what there is at Taji yet, its a new camp they are opening up, so Ive only heard rumors. I guess there are no showers hooked up yet and nothing but port-a-potties. Other than that i know nothing. Ill give you a full report when we get settled in at Taji. Im doing pretty good, just keeping busy and keeping my head up. Oh, if you hear anything bad about Camp Anaconda or Taji, please dont tell Jean or mom...Ill tell them all the bad stuff when i get home. Just dont want them to worry to much, you know how
woman are :-)

I can't imagine what it is like for him over there and being new in country. My brother says he watches the news on Iraq more closely now and is a little worried. I pray for the kid everyday and hope he comes back home safe.

I hope your nephew stays safe and comes back home as soon as possible! We'll think about him! And pray for his safe return! Keep us posted on how he is.

One of the vets I work with just left last week for her home Isreal. She is there for passover. I'm worried about her also and hope she returns home safe!

Talked to my brother my IM this morning. He is pretty upbeat about his son but still worries as a Dad should!
