Angry very bad day off

agh. It's my one day off in two weeks, and I'm having a bad day...
Gotta vent on here right now.
First off, it was going to be a great day, surf has been building so I got up at 6am to go surfing, and the freaking dog chew both leashes on my surfboards. So now I gotta wait to go surfing until 10 when all the surfshops open so I can buy a new leash.
Then I get to Wrightsville beach, I pull up to a parking spot next to a dune to peek over and see how crowded the break is, maybe 2 minutes, I turn around and I'm getting a $20 parking ticket. Apparently Wrightville beach no longer has any free parking, if you want to park in Wrightsville beach between 9 and 6 7 days a week you gotta pay up.
I go surfing for an hour waves were great, then high tide hits and it just goes mushy, no big deal I'll come back later when the tide goes out.
Come home, and wow, my sea swirl came in today, this is good.
I start plumbing it, get everything hooked up. Pick up my bottle of PVC primer, which makes it all the way from the kitchen to the living room, and then SPLAT, PVC primer EVERYWHERE, including on my face and neck. Run to the shower and jump in and rinse it off, I missed a spot on my neck, so that'll be purple for god knows how long. On the way back to the living room the dog took a dump in the middle of all my comotion. But first I gotta try to clean up my now brown and pruple carpet and also my white and purple wall....
All I wanted to do was hook up the sea swirl and do a water change and go back out surfing....
I know people have had worse days, but I'm not having a good day and just needed to vent a bit.

Bummer,

I'm sorry for the rough day. That does NOT sound like a fun day off at all.

I hope the stain comes out soon. I would call the manufacturer's 1-800 number to ask them what they recommend.

LOL, yeah I can hear that conversation...

"Hello carpet manufacturer's unlimited"

"Yes, I calling to find out what removes purple pvc primer from your carpet"

"Your what!!"

"Yeah, I spilled some pvc primer on my carpet, what do you guys recommend to get that stuff out?"

", fire maybe?"

"no I'm serious, is there anything that will get this stuff out? Oh yeah, I gota get some dog dirt out too.."

Sir can I send you a catalog and price list of our carpets, cause ain't nothin gonna get that stuff out...."

It's just one of those days, I know it sucks right now, and I feel for you, but you gotta laugh about it or it will only seem worse, although crying works, chicks dig that sensitive stuff

Just got in from the beach, the air temp dropped way off and it was quite cold. Waves were only ok...
The primer actually not really really noticable on the carpet, but it looks horrible where it hit the wall. It also got some old PFO reflectors I had sitting around, stained the back of them pretty bad.
I'm going to try some oxi clean on Scott's advice, hopefully that will get the carpet stain out, if not, guess I will be paying for new carpet, sucks cuz it was just installed in January...
Well, guess a throw rug will work for now. Sure does smell funny in here though Suprised I'm typing so well... Think I'll take a nap now...

i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~

Man, sorry to hear that... My only other suggestions would be ethanol (or everclear...if the stain doesn't come out with this, well, grab some Jungle Juice and your set) or acetone. Of course, the stain is probably set at this point so I don't know how effective either of the two will be...

Good luck either way
