OT: Habits are hard to break

For many years I have kept my sunglasses on top of my head when not in use to avoid losing them. Well, today I got my first prescription glasses in about 15 yrs (It's hell getting old) Everytime I come inside I find myself putting my glasses on my head.
I think this is a sign of getting old.

Don't feel bad, I finally had to get glasses. They drive me nuts & I keep misplacing them! I would think parked on your head is a good place.

Re: OT: Habits are hard to break

The only problem is when they are parked on my head I can't see anything. I waited far too long to admit I needed the glasses so my eyes are pretty bad.
Good news is they have a lot nicer glasses than I used to have. These actually don't look half bad.

I'll bet you look smart and sassy with glasses!

Re: OT: Habits are hard to break

Prescription sunglasses used to be OK for me...until my optometrist finally convinced me to go to bifocals...None of the better sunglass manufacturers will do bifocals...that means my Maui Jims sit on the shelf in my office taunting me...Best dammed sunglasses I've ever had, and the only time I can wear them is if I'm someplace where I don't need to actually see...

Boomer, get contact lenses and you'll be able to wear those Maui Jim glasses again.

Re: OT: Habits are hard to break

Shouldn't be able to lose these since I am supposed to wear them all of the time. Also I got the ones that get lighter and darker depending on the environment. I actually kind of like the way they look but I need to get used to it.

Re: OT: Habits are hard to break

Contacts! I tried those & no there was "no way" I could get used to those. I swear I tried! I bet Lynn looks dignified with her glasses. I hope to meet her this weekend. I'll be sure to wear my specs if she promises not to laugh!

Re: OT: Habits are hard to break

I promise.
Actually I wore glasses or contacts for much of my life and then had bad RK surgery so I can no longer wear contacts. So glasses it is.
