OT: Baseball fans?

Hey, Im a true floridian, and have been with the Marlins since 1993. WOW, 2 world series, and nobody gave them credit. Right now they are no. 1 in their division, and have the 2nd best win perc. in the MLB, and NOBODY gives them any credit. I see them in late october this year. Any word on them in the north, or is it still about the Yankees or the red sox, even when they suck its ALWAYS ABOUT THE STUPID YANKEES, WHO CARES!!

oh and they own the current win streak at 7 in a row, and 8-2 in their last 10 games

The Marlins have the winningest WS record in history with their 2 Series wins. Chris Aguila was drafted by the fish, and I coached him in Basbe Ruth. He was traded to the Pirates last year.

Oh yea? its the winningest (is that a word???) I remember most of the 1993 team, I got taken out of school early for their Inaugural Game.....they won too! 6-3

It's to bad your beloved team ownership BOUGHT their first championship (Sheffield, Pudge, Kevin brown, etc...) and promptly pissed off the fan base the next offseason when they dumped them all.

Their second championship deserves some credit (more than the first) but really it's a team with cheap owners who play in a sucky division in a suckier stadium. They did one right thing by signing Ramirez long term, knowing how the operate I was expecting them to trade him away for some more kids.

And as for them being #1 let's see:
Phillies - Howard is slumping and Rollins was hurt. Wait till the last 2 NL MVP's come back and they take off.
Mets - Again injuries and poor play by Delgado. IMO they are #2 to the Phils
Marlins - Could see them finishing #3
Braves - To old and to many holes. Kotsay in center and losing Smoltz from the rotation isn't going to be enough.
Nats - Good solid base, Zimmerman and Chris Marrero (Remember that name) will anchor this team for years.

Bunch of spoiled, overpaid brats who get paid TREMENDOUS sums of money to play a game. YES, they work hard (most of them) at what they do, but anymore, it's not about the team, it's about ME, ME, ME!

They need to cut players' salaries to a MAX of $100,000 per year...or increase teachers' salaries to match what pro sports players get...

Being from AZ, D-Backs are my team. Was there when they won the series, and am still a fan. When they play the Pirtates in Pittsburgh, we go to the games! Go D-Backs!!! This is their year again

Lou Gehrig is my all time favorite player. Can you say 184 and 175 RBI years. All while hitting behind lifetime BA .325 and annual 50 HR Babe Ruth (That's 50 times a year with no one on base to drive in). Hitting .344 ain't bad for the humble kid from Columbia University!

I've been a cubs fan my whole life. I live on the south side, so I get crap from almost everyone I know. That was a great series against arizona.
