If Tony Melendez ever comes to visit your area, go see him. My mom sings in a church so we go see concerts with her once in awhile. My husband's dad works at a church with autistic kids and he knows some guys in a heavy metal Christian band...I can't remember the name of it right now.

Actually, "other" is the only choice for me, although sometimes that includes blues or classical. I have some obscure tastes... everything from Beethoven to Dead Can Dance, from Bob Marley to Kate Bush, and from Patti Smith to Indigo Girls.

Right now, I have my Hearts of Space collection on random play.

I like everything from classical to classic rock. One of my fav songs...Short Skirt, Long Jacket...Cake...oh..Barracuda by Hart is my myspace song

I enjoy MOST music, however, I don't consider rap to be music...and can't stand "hip-hop."
The "new country" sucks too. I LOVE the classic country music of Hank Williams, Ernest Tubb, Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins and so on, but the newer stuff if just rock & roll with a twang...

Probably my most listened to category would be classical, followed by classic rock and Hawaiian. (no "Jawaiian" reggae please)

Classic Country is the only country worth listening to. The "new" stuff is heading more towards pop/alt.
I listen to Punk, Emo, Alternative, New Age Rock, and "some" rap. But I agree with Boomer that Rap is NOT Music. I like some rap, but it is in a whole other category thatn music IMO.
