OT: Treadmill died... I think.

How long do these things last? Mine is a nordictrack exp 1000, it is about... 7 or 8 years old? was in storage for like 3 years. I haven't kept track of mileage but I guess I average a half hour to an hour a session, 2 to 3 times a week. Mike was on it, it just died. We smelled a little overheating.

Anybody have any experience? Is it worth it to get it serviced or is it time for a new one?

LOL Kathy.... The repair bill might be as hefty as the replacement, depending on what you go with. Check out the Cardio Glide, simple, economical, small footprint and a whopper of a workout. Full body.
I have an elliptical now, but I miss my Cardio Glide

Are you sure the smell wasn't coming from Mike?
How outta shape is he?

Did he just SAY it was broken or did you check it?
He might be trying to pull a fast one.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

When I was shopping last summer I noticed most were rated for 250 pounds or less - add in the extra pounding from a guy trying to look buff while running - lucky it's only a fuse that fritzed!!!

Re: OT: Treadmill died... I think.

I am not certain what it is about reefers' husbands. I mean, I am just talking about underwear on a good day. Nothing wrong with that.

Don't kid yourself, Steph, he can always view your threads as a guest.

Re: OT: Treadmill died... I think.

He's got an account here too. I got him into SW, sometimes I think he's more into it than I am. Just today, for example, he chastised me for not having the 75 topped off and that an aiptasia is PO-ing my nem.

... BTW his tank is FULL of flatworms!!
