There is only so much celebrating on the neighbor's behalf that I can do...so I do not have immediate neighbors...but I did manage to get my nitrates down to 2ppm from 20ppm. Putting up that aquafuge was the hardest time of my life. I think this is cause for celebration this weekend. Mmmmmmm Buffalo Dip!

becky why did you have such a huge spike (or is this in the QT tank???) Anyway its dark out here and there is a frost advisory in effect till 7 am EST. about 36 out right now....I'm up because I have a splitting headache and can't sleep *sigh* we need to have a sigh smiley.

Mucci, it wasn't a spike...20 ppm was as low as I could get it to go without a fuge.
11:56 and you are not sleeping? It is about 4 here. I went to bed at 9. The 4yr old decided that he was going to lay down with me. Yapped until 10:30 before he passed out (A little of everything...Star Wars, monsters, his feelings about the word "butt".) Half an hour later the snoring wonder came to bed. So I hit the couch and the winds are keeping me up.

Sorry about the headache - sinus? migraine? tension? I have felt your pain - I still get sinus headaches several times a year - try a humidifier, or just a really hot shower, helps, at least temporarily. Migraine - I learned some meditation years ago that helps make them more bearable. None of the latest meds work for my migraines - thankfully I only get a few a year. Tension - I have noticed that working out has really decreased my once daily tension headaches. Try some shoulder rolls, neck rolls, and a hot shower (amazing how a hot shower solves so many problems!) turn off the lights, light a candle or two...

LOL = I have one of those too - can hear the noise through the floor when I am downstairs - with the TV on... I was soo tired one night i actually put a pillow over his face!! He opted to sleep in the other bedroom...

Mooch, as a result of a car accident in 2000 then a work-related accident in 2001, I live with horrible headaches that feel like someone's sticking a knife inbetween the top of my spine and the bottom of my skull and twisting it around...Excedrin is my best friend. The docs offer me all kinds of nifty pain killers for that and the FUBAR'd back, but I'm stupid enough on my own...I don't need any chemical help.

In the evening, since Excedrin has caffeine in it, I make my own...sort of...2 extra-strength Tylenols and 2 or 3 aspirins usually make a dent in the headache. (Yes, I know about the potential for stomach problems with too many NSAIDS)

The weather here is supposed to warm up again, but (hopefully) only into the mid-80's.

I watch a lot of CNN, they say that migraines might be caused by a heart defect. I don't know, I do get the occasional migraine. I was having them once a week for awhile...when you guys were getting tired of looking at snow, my head was hurting over the glare of my dead grass. I wish meditation was an option. My migraines hit hardest when the kids are up and needing my attention...that I cannot give until almost 30 minutes after I take the excedrin. I am thrilled I haven't had one for awhile.

It's gray and chilly and rainy here today. THEY say it's 60 but I think they're lying! NO WAY!

I had a doc appt today; bp 110/72, still coughing and still noise in the chest so some more antibiotics plus an inhaler added. Oh good! Doc Martha has also changed the bp meds from lisinopril to something that begins with a 'D', but I can't remember what. I will post it when I pick it up later today. My bp is great, but she said she doesn't like lisinopril and is using my cough as an excuse to change to something newer and 'better'. Uh huh. we'll see.

Ya know, I'm looking at new cars, and I was all set to downgrade and economize and all that... what with gas prices and car prices. After the doc visit I'm thinking hell with that! I'm getting what I want! I probably won't be around that long so I might as well enjoy my money now.

I'm sticking with Lexus! ( How's that for an excuse?)

Partly sunny and 61 now. Husband & son are downtown watching old 'slick willy', he is here campaigning for his wife. Don't care for the man, so am at home with my fish, the cat and the dog.
