rain here the last two days......flood watches are in effect. You know as much as I can't stand the winters around here it all pays off in the fall. I lived in 29 palms for a bit and to me it was boring weather wise...beautiful skies every day (except for the one rain storm we had in the entire 9 months I was there) The heat was a killer though.

Andrea and I were just outside with the dogs. Oh my gosh! So much fun! The little dogs knew enough to follow in the paths of the bigger ones.. my Golden is 18" at the shoulders and the snow was past there! They had a ball, but boy that snow is hard to walk in!

Sounds like fun - just got the kids out of the pool for a morning snack - It's nice out - not really warm enough for swimming but when the pool is heated to 94 I guess anytime is the right time!!! (Yes I spoil my nieces rotten!!)

I am also a cleveland native and you see the big dog in the my avatar.....well the snow in my backyard was over his head!!!!!!!!!! They actually shut down the suburb of parma which is right next door to me down. NO ONE WILL DRIVE ON THE ROADS OR TICKETS WILL PROCEED!! Its a freaking blizzard man! This blows i wanted to go to lfs today but 30 min drive will turn into 5 hrs!

When it snows here in El Paso, the weather people have no idea what it looks like. Some of my crew might remember me stating something similar about how many were mistaking a tornado with low hanging clouds. This place is meteorologically challenged. Generally, the area can get snow. The higher elevations in New Mexico get hit often. Here, the stations will show snow coming down and say that we are getting rain. When the snow accumulates, these people are still flying 70 mph on the highways and interstate. Seriously, we have "black ice" tutorials. However, I find it the most amusing when the severe storm track program interrupts regular programming to show me that there is nothing coming.

Therein lies one of the big reasons why I'll never move back to the snow country...as it is, the winters here in northern Kahleeforneeya are getting too cold for me. (gets into the 30's for a month or so) I keep trying to convince my wife to move to the next state west of here...

(I think she's finally ready, now all we have to do is figure out how to afford it!)

BTW, sunshine, light breeze and 72 outside as I type this...
