Just genetics. Been fighting off the need for blood pressure meds for the last 5 years. Dr looked at my results from being monitored for a week. Looked at my medical history and said I was done. I get to do the bloodwork part within the next 2 weeks to check for organ damage ( I go through this yearly), cholesterol, thyroid issues...blah blah blah. I have a feeling I will be switching the pill out, though. I took the thing about an hour ago and I am already starting with the side effects.

A catch all for the effects of chronic inflammation from dietary or environmental sources. Abnormally elevated blood sugar and insulin resistance, high blood pressure, and elevated trigycerides. This state can be a precursor to Adult Type II diabetes. CRP (C reactive protein) test and the VAP cholesterol test are the most informstive testing to determine your true health risk. Have you had either of these tests?

Yep, every year. Everything has always checked out except for the triglycerides, that was manages through nutrition. I will have another one next week or the week after.

My father has Type 2 Diabetes. But the VA should be taking care of him medically for it. Quite possible it was acquired after being exposed to agent orange. They were watching for certain benchmarks before signing him up for benefits and he is meeting them all. Otherwise, no diabetes in my family...just hypertension.

It appears nice outside, I would like to get out for a little bit. I have some snails who need acclimating first. Blech...the joys of acclimating.

I cannot believe it is already 12:30 here. I didn't get anything done today. Spent most of the day resting on the couch. Seems a nap is in the cards.

Nap is over, drive was fantastic. Time to stroll to the beach and check things out. 75 degrees and a light breeze off the Pacific. Can you say perfect?

Felt well enough to go to the neighbor's to get my house key back. I think the meds helped. lol
Day was less than ideal and I am just getting started with my day!
