Re: OT: How's the weather?

Coffee is the only thing that actually has an affect on me. I have never been able to get a boost from soda or tea.

Jim, right now that tumbleweed is right on. 50+ mph winds until 9ish. The dust advisory is on the ticker and might cause an issue on I-10. We should have cooler temps for the next few days (70s) and plenty of wind.

Yeeeeeessssss, good for UTI and the headache you didn't know you had. I love multipurpose drinks.

Windows are closed but the crap blowing about outside has me coughing.

Re: OT: How's the weather?

It rained this morning, but cleared up nicely this afternoon. Got a bit cooler, though. Took the beasts out into the yard for some runaround time. They've been very patient with me while I was sick so they deserved some ball-chasing. That was fun and tuckered them out so I took a nice nap with them, and it felt like REAL sleep instead of that weird fever-sleep.

John is coming home from Atlanta tonight. Yippee. I wish I was more up to par than I am, but it'll have to do, I s'pose.

Barb,
I'm glad you are feeling a little better. Did your daughter make it home last weekend?

Re: OT: How's the weather?

She did. She stayed away from me, and I actually hardly remember her being here!

It was such a nice visit LOL. She did take care of the animals which is huge because then I could just lay there, and that was very, very important.

Re: OT: How's the weather?

It got cooler here in the 70s and the wind has also kicked up. I had my front yard cleaned up landscaped and new gravel put down in the areas around the grassy area. It was so nice to pull into the drive way and see this nice looking place that I didnt have to pull a weed on. It would have taken me weeks to accomplish this and then Id probably be making a doctors appointment to deal with pulled muscels. Sooo its all good and worth it. Its supposed to get to 100 this weekend.

Re: OT: How's the weather?

My yard was clean, but this afternoon I watched trash flying through the air. I'm fairly certain I will get to pick up the trash in a few days when the winds die down.
Did it come from someone down the street?
Shrug
Did it come from someplace exotic, like the other side of town, Juarez or New Mexico?
I don't know. This is West Texas, any trash is game.
Once, way back 4 years ago, when I first moved here, I sat in my back yard watching a black garbage bag flying around. Got so high, it disappeared.

Re: OT: How's the weather?

Clear, no wind and the sun is coming up. Supposed to be warmer today.

Barb, how's the back coming along?

Re: OT: How's the weather?

Glad you're feeling better Barb. It's sunny and warm today. We're going to go for another run this afternoon as soon as I pump up the flat tire on the jogging stroller.

Re: OT: How's the weather?

Went outside to water the bushes in the front. Well, managed to get attacked by an ant colony. Hard to see ant colonies with rock landscaping. Lucky for me, they were not fire ants, so I am just itchy.

Re: OT: How's the weather?

I would never nap outdoors in Texas.
But, I might need to nap today. I was up at 5:30 so I'm wearing down from that. Plus, my 4 yr old has me exhausted from a nasty fit he threw last night. He is behaving today, so far, but he still has me shaking my head.

Re: OT: How's the weather?

Olivia woke up twice last night. The first time at 1 and the second at 6. I've been up since 6. I made my "frag basket" last night, put it in the tank this morning and moved what corals I could to it. I decided that I'm going to start fragging. We've got some xenias that divided and attached themselves to a huge rock and we have some button polyps that were a frag that decided to attach themselves to an even larger rock, but the mushrooms, some more buttons, the hammer and all the zoas are in the basket and I'm just waiting for them to reopen. Other than that, I've been flipping Olivia back over all morning.
