| Elegance coral | Re: OT: How's the weather? The weather is so nice Im playing hookey today to go golfing. (Im calling in golf). I stopped by Vans golf shop to look at new clubs. You know those MH lights arent looking as expensive now. The bad part is, I slice and grow algea. Oh and Im a klutz too, so I will probably throw my back or elbow out while Im at it. But fun is fun. | Golden Moray | Re: OT: How's the weather? It's looked like it's going to rain all week and it finally is. Olivia's sick, teething I think. She's running a low-grade fever, drooling excessively and chewing on her hand a lot. She only slept a couple of hours last night in spite of my drugging her. I haven't felt any bumps on her gums yet but she's had the fever for 2 days so if it doesn't break by this afternoon or I don't feel any bumps, then I'm calling the doctor. She's still a little young to be teething so I don't want to chaulk this up to that if she's really got an infection or something?

| Madame Klanganator | Re: OT: How's the weather? Clouds are back and it's 39 right now.. cold rain, too! Sorry to hear about Olivia, Nikki.. sometimes they get like this several times before a tooth finally makes its appearance. They also chew on their hands if their throat is sore or an ear hurts. You'll know if it's an infection because her temp will go higher and she act and look sicker.. with a tooth it'll stay lower and finally go away. I was waiting to see.. but yes, I woke up sick this morning, too. Coughing and a fever just like John. His doc visit produced nothing new; just another virus probably caught while travelling. He did get some heavy-duty cough syrup and an inhaler which really helped him sleep. He never sleeps much so that's something right there.

| Manta Ray | Re: OT: How's the weather? My youngest started the drooling the chomping when he was about 3 months. It was a headacche. Guess when he got his first tooth? 7 months. I would consider not taking her to the doctor unless she gets one heck of a temp. Point being, nothing will probably be done and you take a risk of exposing her to people who might be seriously sick. Relax, it'll pass. Do you have Infant Tylenol and Children/Infant Motrin? |

| Manta Ray | Re: OT: How's the weather? I will be out of town until sometime Sunday. I have a retreat up at some ski resort town. Craig, you are in charge of keeping order on my thread. Barb, I am sorry to hear that you have the bug. Between your back and now this. I hope your daughter doesn't catch it while she is visiting!!!! |

| Golden Moray | Re: OT: How's the weather? I'm sorry you're sick, Barb. Tommy's mom has fibromyalgia and she has to get the epidural shots too. They make her sick as a dog so I can only imagine how awful you must feel right now. At least you have cuddly animals to keep you company. Hopefully you'll get better before your daughter gets home.

| Madame Klanganator | Re: OT: How's the weather? Enjoy your weekend, Becky, as much as you are able. Take lots of underwear with you. I told the daughter to STAY AWAY since she has finals coming up. She's not known for listening too well so I'll probably see her anyway. She worries about us here all on our own. Nikki, that whole poop thing happens while they're teething, too. Fun, huh?

The epidurals I get don't make me sick at all.. I wonder if they're something different? I do have to lay flat for 8 hours afterward to avoid getting a big headache, but I've never had a problem. John and I have both had more than our share this winter, and I'm wondering if building this house has caught up with us. The stress of it was pretty intense at times, and now we're relaxed and feel at home. So maybe all this is our comeuppance and our bodies are letting us know!

| Golden Moray | Re: OT: How's the weather? I don't know if they're different or not. I had to take her once and it's a series of 3 shots in her back. She called them epidurals but "epidural" simply refers to the epidural space between vertebrae so who knows. She gets headaches and sick to her stomach...maybe we should strap her to the bed and have a trash can handy to see if that helps.
