OT: How's the weather? - Page 27

I hope all is Ok, Mucci.
It is warm in the sun today. Went out, watered the flowers. Got the kids' water table ready. The oldest will be done being grounded within the hour. Youngest down for nap. Need to work in the yard today. For now, I'm thinking some sunscreen and a cup of coffee. Work later....

And I have some tank work to do.

It's like paradise here today! Sunny about 75 no humidity. I just got back from one of the resort islands (Kiawah) and it was incredible out there.

We did a church interior on Kiawah a couple of years ago...I think it was Holy Spirit Church?

Reminds me, I still should call home and see how bad everything has flooded. Luckily, my folks do not live along the river banks (St. Louis), I saw a lot of footage on CNN this morning.

Not to sure Barb. I'm a Seacoast Church guy. (like the link push

) Maybe your talking about the sanctuary they have out there. It's a hotel resort on the island. I like to take my family out there on Saturdays and walk to the beach. The whole island is beautiful. Most of my jobs are there.

I looked it up.. the church we did was Holy Spirit Church on St John's Island. We stayed at The Sanctuary on Kiawah Island during the church's dedication weekend . If you're in the neighborhood stop in to Holy Spirit, Frankie. You can see what we do for a living!

We design new and renovate existing church interiors. We do floors, pews, altars, reredos, tabernacle towers, statuary, baptismal pools and fonts, church appointments, metalware, stained glass, and all kinds of other things.

At Holy Spirit my company installed the altar, all the statuary, the baptismal font, the flooring, the tabernacle... umm.. some other things that I'm not remembering right now.

This must be a good place for you. Charleston is loaded with Churches.

I'll keep you in mind for sure, Frankie. Right now we have a lot of work in Georgia. We mostly do stone/marble floors, but you never know when someone may want wood.

Overnight we had a foot of snow! Sheesh. It's bright and sunny today, though, and we've been plowed out already so it's business as usual.

I dont know about you Barb but I am over snow for this year.
We have had a ton of it. - lot more than usual.
There is about 6 inches on the ground where I live but more and more as you go north. North Burbs got a foot+.
I say enough already!

Me, too, Jeff! I like snow, but wow we've been blasted. When we get it we get dumped on.. not an inch here and inch there. We can get snow into late April here.... the famous lake effect snow we get off Lake Erie.

At least we're not in a drought.

I like snow too just not in late March.
Chicago is lucky. we do not get much lake effect snow very often.
The wind does not blow down Lake Michigan in the correct direction for us to get it - usually. Now Indiana and SW Michigan gets dump on all the time with the Lake effect snows.
